Rabbit – Donor Serum Complement

Serum complement is collected from animals of U.S. origin and processed to preserve naturally occurring complement activity. Material is for research and diagnostic use only.

• Collection: Whole blood is collected specifically for each order to support freshness and project-specific requirements.
• Donor Format: Material is available from a single donor or pooled donors, depending on requested volume and study needs.
• Gender: Gender is unspecified unless otherwise requested.
• Processing: Serum complement is manufactured from animal whole blood collected without anticoagulant and allowed to clot. The blood is centrifuged to separate the serum from the clot, red blood cells, and buffy coat. The serum is then processed and frozen under conditions designed to preserve complement activity.
• Quality Control: Standard collection procedures include bacterial contamination testing for 48 hours following collection and prior to shipment. Additional testing specifications may be available upon request.
• Shipping Temperature: Standard shipping temperature is -20°C.
• Packaging: Serum complement is shipped in bottles. Charges for box and dry ice apply.
• Shipping: Shipping estimates are available prior to order placement. Customers may provide their preferred carrier and account number for shipment on their own account. Domestic and international shipping options are available.
• Customization: Collection, processing, packaging, and testing specifications can be customized upon request.
