Position: Animal Technician
Job Description: Our Biotech Center is involved in developing and producing a wide range of research models and services for our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and is seeking a motivated full-time animal technician.

Specific tasks of the position include:
• General husbandry of small animal colonies
• Maintenance of breeding colonies
• Washing, cleaning and maintaining a vivarium.

The successful technician will assure efficient throughput by practicing proper documentation and record keeping. Salary to commensurate with experience.


Requirements:
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team in a fast paced, challenging environment.
• Ability to possibly work a flexible schedule based on work volume, including some holidays and weekends.
• Background in animal handling is a plus
• Husbandry and technical procedure training on laboratory animals will be provided
• AALAS certification training will be provided


Education: Minimum of high school diploma required. Associate Degree in Biology, Animal Science, or a related discipline a positive.

Position: Biotech Area Manager
Job Description:
Management of:
• The operational and facility components of our Pipersville Biotech facility, with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to our customers.
• Production schedule for all departments within Biotech including, but not limited to: Monoclonal Antibody Production, ZEC-WEC-Toxicology, Purification and Small Lab Animal Vivarium.
• Personnel in all operational departments within Biotech including, but not limited to: Monoclonal Antibody Production, ZEC-WEC-Toxicology, Purification and Small Lab Animal Vivarium.
• Oversight and execution of calibration and maintenance program at the Biotech.
• Oversight of the facility maintenance at the Biotech.
• Operational budget


Requirements:
• Qualification based upon education, resume and-or work experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a scientific field and 7 years experience in a management position
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English) and mathematics skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have ability to communicate, comprehend, carry out and relay multiple verbal and written instructions including SOPs
• Must be able to maintain accurate and organized records
• Windows based computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations
• Ability to give directions, train others and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of the metric system


Education: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a scientific field. MBA or other master degree level education a benefit.

Position: Blood Processing Supervisor
Job Description:
Production Supervisor equipped for oversight and processing of whole blood, serum, plasma and antigen preparation. Successful Production Supervisor shall perform all duties with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to our clients with complete, accurate documentation. Maintenance of injection antigen and free peptide inventory utilizing project management software (PM). Track disposable and production material inventories and order as necessary. Schedule appropriate personnel for required job functions. Oversight of the calibration of instruments within the department. Compliance with all pertinent Quality Assurance procedures and requirements. Compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records for manufacture and testing of client specified material. Write and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform all job functions in a safe manner and report all safety concerns and observations to the site manager and safety committee. Assist in preparation of investigative reports and additional testing as required by client or as part of the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) Program.

Requirements:
• Perform performance evaluations for laboratory technicians
• Experience with operating analytical and basic laboratory equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Windows based computer skills, familiarity with Word and Excel

Position: Large Animal Technician
Job Description: Animal technician to perform manual and semi-skilled work in connection with feeding, cleansing and care of large animals. Duties include maintaining animal health and birthing records, observing and reporting on animals for signs of disease/disorders. Assist with treatments for disease/disorders. Perform routine maintenance of farm facility.

Requirements: Some heavy lifting involved. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be a team player, enjoy working with animals and outdoors. Demonstrates a commitment to quality of care of animals. Familiarity with USDA, AAALAC requirements a plus. Tractor/Farm equipment experience a plus.

Position: Staff Veterinarian
Job Description: Veterinarian, with farming background, equipped for farm animal welfare oversight. Team player, self motivated and able to perform well without direct supervision. Successful veterinarian shall manage and communicate on animal healthcare and welfare services for farm facility. All management and reporting shall be performed with the goal of providing consistent, high quality products and services to clients with complete, accurate documentation. Administer Lampire program of veterinary care. Analyze, diagnose, document, describe and communicate animal health, welfare and all issues. Maintain a high level of compliance in accordance with internal and external regulatory standards. Identify, prescribe treatment, monitor and record all animal health issues. Work with animal husbandry staff to improve capabilities to discover and communicate animal health and welfare issues, administer or prescribe treatments and communicate progress and results. Review study protocols and procedures and propose improvements to increase results and efficiencies. Onsite housing available.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with small ruminants
• Experience with cattle and rabbits preferred
• Farm animal husbandry background or experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Fluency in German is a plus
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Windows based computer skills, familiarity with Word and Excel
• cGMP experience in quality systems and manufacturing operations

Education: DVM or VMD from an accredited college of veterinary medicine, or foreign equivalent; Licensure in Pennsylvania and Category II Federal Accreditation strongly preferred

Sales Professional will be goals and results oriented demonstrated by revenue growth. Successful candidate will assist customers in fostering innovation by providing access to the Lampire full suite of products including custom polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies, immunology services, bulk diagnostic and research reagents, pharmacokinetics, ADME assays and analytical services.

Requirements: Successful Sales Professional will be highly motivated, assertive and results oriented. Candidate will possess a solid background in the life science industry with experience in biochemistry, cell culture, assay development and antibody production. Immunology is a plus. Superior communication and organization skills are required.

Education: Bachelors Degree in a Life Sciences Specialization
