LAMPIRE is in compliance with the European Community (EC) No. 1774/2002 regulation. This regulation establishes the requirements for importing animal by-products into the European Union (EU). This regulation applies to animal-based products used for technical purposes such as the development of pharmaceuticals, in vitro diagnostics, and laboratory reagents. LAMPIRE has worked to become one of the first donor-animal blood products and antibody facilities in the United States to comply with this guideline.
